Tutoring Policies & Disclosure
At Morgan steM, we strive to provide high-quality, personalized math tutoring services. To ensure a smooth and effective experience for all students, please review our policies below.
1. Scheduling & Ongoing Tutoring Sessions
A complimentary 20-minute consultation is required for all new student inquiries.
Sessions are scheduled in advance and conducted virtually via Zoom.
Students are encouraged to maintain a consistent schedule for the best learning experience.
If a student requires a schedule change, we will do our best to accommodate based on tutor availability.
2. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
24-Hour Notice Required: If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice to avoid being charged.
Late Cancellations: Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged a 50% fee.
No-Show Policy: If a student does not attend a scheduled session without prior notice, the full session fee will apply.
3. Payment & Late Fees
Payments must be made in advance or immediately upon the conclusion of each session. For convenience, cards on file will be automatically charged following each session.
If payment is not received by the due date, a late fee of 20% will be applied.
Failure to make timely payments will result in paused tutoring sessions until the balance is settled.
If late payments occur more than three times or a student exceeds three missed sessions, ongoing tutoring sessions will be discontinued.
We only accept payment through Squarespace and Stripe and do not process transactions via Venmo, Cash App, or any other form of payment.
4. Technical Requirements & Responsibility
Students must have a stable internet connection, a functioning microphone, and a webcam. Camera’s must be on.
Any technical issues on the student’s end that result in lost time may not be eligible for a makeup session.
If a tutor experiences a technical issue, we will reschedule at no additional cost.
5. Tutor & Student Expectations
Students should arrive prepared with relevant materials and a willingness to learn.
Tutors will provide engaging, supportive, and structured lessons tailored to the student’s needs.
Respectful and professional behavior is expected from both students and tutors at all times.
6. Communication Policy
To ensure clear and consistent communication, all scheduling requests, cancellations, or rescheduling for students under 18 years of age must come directly from a parent or guardian.
We kindly ask that all communication regarding session changes, payments, or concerns be sent via email to hello@morganstem.com. We do not use text messaging for communication.
Students over 18 may communicate directly with us regarding their sessions, but any policy-related matters (such as payments or scheduling disputes) must be handled by the account holder.
If you need to reschedule, change, or cancel a session, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any applicable fees.
7. Privacy & Confidentiality
All personal information shared with Morgan steM remains confidential.
Sessions may not be recorded or shared without mutual consent.
